Your choice for an all-in-one Glacier & Wildlife Tour with added views high above the city in the Chugach Mountains. Discover how close Alaska’s biggest city is to nature’s beautiful wilderness.
Sightsee down the world renown scenery of the Turnagain Arm along the Seward Highway, one of our nation's Scenic Byways into Portage Valley and the Chugach National Forest on this fully narrated tour. Travel beneath hanging glaciers before arriving at Portage Lake where you board the one-hour Portage Glacier Cruise right up to the face of the glacier. Enjoy lunch at a rustic Alaskan lodge where you can purchase a variety of delicious home-made soups, sandwiches and salads. Continue on to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Amidst 360 degree mountain terrain see and learn about our native animals. It’s a joy to watch the different species of Alaskan animals such as brown bear, black bear, moose, caribou, wolves, musk ox, lynx, and wood bison in this natural setting. On the way back to your hotel, enjoy a side trip to 2300 feet above Anchorage into the Chugach Mountains for spectacular panoramic views. Plenty of photo opportunities on this tour.
