I stayed at the Spenard Hostel. Very nice place.
I spent $22 dollars per night. This paid for a tent, 2 pads, 2 sleeping bags and 2 pillows .. plus full use of the hostel.
Located just 2 blocks from Route 7 on the Anchorage Metro.
Plenty of kitchens. Good WIFI. Plenty of hot water for the showers.
$9 taxi ride from the Airport to the Hostel. Also, every other Route 7 Bus also stops at the Airport.

Spenard hostel was a perfect place to stay while exploring around Anchorage.
